In 2009, the SAHS Board of Directors made some big changes for the organization and embraced a “Pets For Life” philosophy. This meant focusing on prevention: preventing pet overpopulation and preventing the need for animals to enter shelters. By focusing on prevention, we are able to help pet owners keep their pets for life.
As we’ve shifted toward a keener understanding of how animal welfare issues fit within a complex set of human and social circumstances, we are seeing success in our efforts to save lives and reduce suffering. As a Board Member, you would be involved in the ongoing success of our programs and continued fundraising endeavors. There are limited seats on the Board, with applications taken throughout the year.We welcome your interest and ask that you complete the application.
